Well deserved
This might be one of the most difficult institutions I’ve dealt with so far. Small business owners are already busy enough, and this level of bureaucracy just makes things even harder. It was very difficult to get clear information over the phone because everyone gave different explanations. I tried resolving things through email, but the responses were quite slow. Socan doesn't respond to requests for the rental of their Socan Houses from their members. Their funding for travel assistance no longer supports actual touring, let any activities/gatherings where the artist makes over $100 CAD. They do however support travel assistance for award shows... how relevant.
