This guy is truly a joke. His shop and his personality are insanely an embarrassment to himself and others. I had used his garbage service over 16 years ago and it was the same then as it is now. I saw his shop ,thought how convenient , I had a bike that needed some work. Long story short, he assaulted me, he was arrested, he paid restitution. My bike came back in pieces after finding it. I was looking for a shop to do some repairs to my recently purchased used ZX-10 and came across this local (to me) shop. I've been burnt in the past so now I do research before committing to a small shop of any kind. After reading the reviews online I don't think I can trust this place. Check out the reviews; the review at the bottom of the list claims a 5 star rating. Look closer and you will see it is written by the owner! Now, there's real integrity for you. You have been warned.
Sam Baugues Owner is a SOB he ruin my son's quad a 70cc . He could not get the parts and kept my son's quad for 3 months. I had to get it back after excuse after excuse and i got it back in pieces and parts missing. He did not own up to his failure and became very vulgar and hostile. I took out a law suite against him and come to find out he has many law suites against him. Do not do business with this SOB.
sad to give them zero stars – While I hate to write a bad review, in this case, it is more important to warn the consumer about shoddy work, over charges, and delay upon delay. To keep it short, while the people are pleasant, my bike never had the work completed, though they had the bike for an extended period. Parts that were pre-paid, were never installed. Unapproved work was done and then expected to be paid. Don't make the mistake of taking your bike here. Its too bad, as they are nice people, just poor at what they do.
Please at least research before going here. – On 15 July 2011, I had to remove (via towing) my ZX10R from this shop, escorted by a deputy sheriff, because after over four months of lies and deceit, the owner, Mr. Sam Bauges, was becoming increasingly belligerent and still was not even half way finished with repairs that he was paid for in March. Fastest and Most Reliable Motorcycle Shop in San Diego! I Recently purchased a motorcycle from So-Cal Custom Cycles that was advertised on Craigslist. I was pleasantly surprised with the personal service and attention to detail that Sam (owner) and his wife, Dawn, provided me with - most shops in So-Cal are too busy to take the time to care about. Do Not Take Your Bike Here! – This place will try to charge you for things that you never approved. The owner, Sam, offers a free towing and estimate service, which is great, but then when they try to gouge you on repair costs, if you decide to have the work done elsewhere, he then tries to charge you for the estimate. The worst part is Sam then asks my age and wants to condescend me for not paying for the "free" estimate. He told me that I was not living in the real world, the guy is out of his mind. Dishonest, bad experience – Overcharged $210 on "store-supplied" materials and overstated time worked. Basically they padded the bill. I'm very disappointed because they seemed like such nice people at first, and they became very vocal when I asked for clarification on the bill. Figured I'd cut my losses and go with someone else that was more honest and upfront.
Great personal service!!! – Nice Mom and Pop shop. Great customer service. Works on all terrain vehicles as well as older bikes and customs. Thanks for the time devoted to listening to all my concerns. AAAA+++++
