Our Isuzu chucked it in and went into slow-mo 2 k's out of Jindabyne. Luckily, we were able to score the best spot in the NRMA Park, unlimited/uninterrupted vista over the lake, so when our motor troubles took us longer than anticipated, we were very happy to sit and wait as Christian thoroughly sorted through all the possibilities, and eliminating them one by one. We cannot recommend him and his whole team 100% - "above and beyond" seems to be their unspoken policy. Thank you so very very much.
Oh my goodness, I can't rate Snowy Mountains Mechanical highly enough. If there were 6 stars, I would give them 6. Our first visit with them turned out to be a mammoth effort with unexpected problems with our vehicle, and Kayden and Tamara went above and beyond to get us through some tricky problems and to meet some tight regulatory deadlines. Amazing.
We broke down outside Nimmitabel on the Snowy Mountains Highway. Through the NRMA we were attended by Snowy Mountains Mechanical. Ollie diagnosed the cooling issue and sensibly recommended a repair before going on to the Blue Mountains and home. Caden arranged the repair and Ollie towed us in and went above and beyond driving us, baggage and our dog Bella to dog friendly accommodation in Cooma.
