We visited this free to visit discovery centre on a weekday. It wasn't crowded and there were many interesting exhibits about power generation and the dam system in the Snowy Mountains. There is also a cafe and souvenir shop here.
Discovery centre is free, cafe attached looked good, but didn’t go in as was very busy, a good place to stop on your way through to learn about original and 2.0 snowy hydro schemes
Great coffee, while charging, the amps were lapped up by the car.
