About this business

We manufacture and sell, direct to consumer, the finest cedar hot tubs. Our specialty is our wood-fired hot tubs. We originated the concept of a submerged wood-burning stove to heat hot tubs back in 1979. We also offer a wide variety of gas and electric heat systems for our cedar hot tubs. If you like the natural beauty of a cedar hot tub, we have a heating system for every need, preference and budget.

The hot tub itself is fine. In the 6 months we haven had it, the controller worked for 1 week. Snorkel had me send it in to the manufacturer, and Snorkel were to send me a replacement. They sent me a UPS tracking number for the replacement, but for two weeks the UPS link said "package never received". Eventually, they admitted they never sent it, and said they would get the manufacturer to send me one directly. 3 months, and still no controller. You know what a hot tub with no controller is? An expensive bathtub. Snorkel d... read more

This is my second hot tub. The first one was teak. I really wanted this to be a 5 star situation. Snorkel misses the mark. The tub bands were too short and had to be replaced with longer bands. They had to try twice to get the bench height correct despite my emails indicating required dimensions. The ionizer electrical connection was confusing. Now, several years later, I called again, hoping to get it working again. The advice given was that I needed to rebuild the tub with "10 minutes of carpentry". That 10 minutes involves completely disassembling the tub. Find t... read more
