If I had gotten a public attorney I would have received the same outcome for an exponentially less amount of money. I felt trivialized because I was young and not a priority. There was no effort put into my case in my opinion. I basically forked up a lot of money to pay for someone's Holiday presents that year. I was told we could potentially beat the case when I discussed my case, and yet when it came time to appear before the judge I was told to settle and plead guilty.
