We live south of Mountain View on Camano where the trees bring down the power lines multiple times a year. PUD refuses to run the power lines underground, attempting to save a few bucks and leave the south camano customs out of power with no regard to customer service. Their power outage website is a joke, they don’t bother updating it leaving us to scramble for storage of freezer goods, generators and gas. We would like to express our deep appreciation for all the PUD has done and continues to do to provide us with sufficient and reliable electricity. Since we moved here six years ago we have marveled at the many improvements on the electrical grid and the ongoing maintenance we observe on Camano Island. All year round we see crews taking preventative measures such as trimming intrusive tree limbs and restoring or broadening access to important lines.
