The food here is amazing. It’s my favorite place to go before or after a bike ride. The owners are great people.
I am concerned about the action of cutting down street trees. I have been a loyal customer since I moved to snohomish in 2005 and have always seen the bakery and it's owners part of the community that believes in protecting our environment and practicing sustainability. This action breaks my heart on two levels the first 4 these wonderful old trees and the beauty they provided to our historic downtown area and second because I don't feel right about staying a customer given this action.
This was formerly one of my favorite places to eat in Snohomish. Not because the food was especially good (it’s quite average at best) but because it was such a lovely place to sit with all the beautiful trees at that corner. You cut them down illegally and now you just have an average restaurant on a street with many better choices. There’s no way they were removed “in error”, as no reputable tree service would have cut them without requiring permits. You’ve lost my business. There is no way you did not know to ask for city review before cutting down these trees. 1. Did the tree cutting contractor ask if you have a permit & what service did you contract with? 2. What are you to do to make it right with the citizens of Snohomish? Until this is rectified, I will make sure people are well informed that this business prefers to apologise, compared to asking permission.
