I'm not sure what happened last fall, but this company seems to have lost the script. I'd been with them for years, service was great. Then last fall the pickups became sporadic. From Thanksgiving until January, one 1 pickup. I had bags sitting on the ground next to the full bin. I finally canceled my account in January. I got bills February and March, which I didn't pay. I think an email or text from them would have been the respectable thing to do, just to let me know what's up.

Over the last year, they have done a good job. The last month, for whatever reason, has been awful! As of now, they have missed three straight weeks of pick up. Luckily, we run it to one of the convenience centers. As a business, even when things are tough, they should reach out and communicate with all of their clients. We should not have to go on their website to find new details regarding service, which, they will not abide by anyway. Do not use this trash service. Like many other comments listed, this company started out just fine but over the last year, they have become more and more inconsistent and had very little communication. Things happen, equipment breaks but you have to have a plan to somehow continue the service you are being paid to do or at least communicate with your customers. I have had Smoky Valley since 2018. They have always been reliable, I understand when their trucks go down and I have to wait for service. However, the last month and a half they have been very unreliable and do not answer concerns when my garbage has not been picked up for the week, I still pay but they don’t show up. I have given this much though as my can is still sitting at the road for pick up after it has not being picked up for the week and I have sent 2 messages to them with no response. We’ve been with them for several years. At first they were great and consistent. But over the course of the last few months, we’ve had numerous times where they’ve missed pickup. The most disappointing part however, is the lack of communication when this occurs. Life happens and stuff comes up, but as a business owner you’ve got to clearly communicate your reschedule plans to your customers.
