I have been in the facility numerous times such as all hours of the day and night to visit a family friend. The staff is very caring and always goes that extra mile to help out your loved one. I would not hesitate to put another friend or family member in this facility.
My experience with SmokyHill is that the patients do not get the treatments and care that is charted. They get minimal care that is required and some get better care than others depending on who the nurse is. I have heard awful reports that there are only a few nurses on staff that actually care about patients. If they speak up about conditions they are quickly hushed or another form of grievance is put on them. Less than 24 hours and we were bringing my boyfriends mother home. She was abused and mistreated by this staff of very unprofessional people. I saw your loved ones being left sitting in urine and many asking me for personal help so they could go potty while the staff was more worried about smoking in the building. This place should be shut down- if you only knew what I saw!!!
