4 hours ago On November 13,2020 I called and spoke to Craig ******, and I was looking to replace my engine, he told me it would be 4700 out the door, I went with a friend to the shop, to see him, i had asked craig to put this in writing, craig stated that he has been in the business for over 30 years and his word is his bond,he seemed legit, craig stated that he needed a$ 1,000 dollar deposit, which was fine, and told me that he would NOT take the money off of my debit card until the truck arrived, my truck did not arrive un... read more
Always reasonable. Never had them suggest work that wasn't needed.
I cannot say enough about how much I love Smokey Hill Auto! I found this hidden gem of a shop 2+ years ago and won't go anywhere else. They're fast and most of all honest. I trust Craig, Rick and their staff with any repair my vehicles need.
I have been a customer for years. Honest and fair. I feel confident going here. They have been around a long time for a good reason.
In April I brought my truck into Smokey Hill Auto. They said the fuse panel under the hood had to be replaced ($700). Then the mechanic stated that wasn't the problem so they replaced the fuel pump ($300). With labor it was over $1,300. In September the same problems started so I took it back and they replaced the fuel pump. Not even a week later the same problems started only this time I had fuel spraying from the fuel pump. I will NEVER take another vehicle to them.
I would not trust my vehicle there a 4th time, or ever bring another one of my cars to this shop again. Craig took advantage of my lack of knowledge on cars and told me all of these parts needed to replaced and robbed me of $800. I took my Subaru Outback to the shop 3 separate times over the course of 2 weeks and when he said it was all fixed up it overheated and I had to tow it back home, ruining my night. Because of my bad experiences I've learned to be extremely cautious from now on.
Craig loves cars and truly enjoys helping his customers keep their cars in top running order. If you are looking for an honest mechanic you can't go wrong at Smoky Hill Auto Service!
this place is "the business". Great folks who treat you like a human being and not a commodity, great prices and they fix what needs to be fixed. I was was told I needed new brakes for about $600 at the Brakes Plus. These guys did some tightening of some screws and added $40 to my oil change bill. I have been here 3 times and will definitely go back again.
Honesty Second to None I take my truck in whenever I have a problem bigger than I can handle and always to service is honest and staight foward. Their prices for repairs are on the wall and Craig tells you upfront it may be more depending on the hidden damage and need for new parts.
