My husband and I took our elderly parents and had an amazing time. John and Theresa our Lighthouse keeper hosts were amazing. They looked after us so well they went that extra mile as we were concerned about the weather they ensured that we were safe coming in and safe leaving Southwest rocks due to the cyclone in Brisbane having a little impact on the area regarding flooding. What an idyllic place to celebrate our 45th Wedding anniversary! Hosts were the loveliest of people, spoilt us with restaurant quality cooked bfast every morning, and gave useful information about weather, wind and safe beaches to use. We had a tour of the historical lighthouse, and the views were spectacular where-ever you looked! Facilities were spotless and well equipped along with an olde world atmosphere! We had a magical 4 night stay. Really nice room. Fantastic breakfasts. Great hosts. Awesome views. Great walks. Friendly kangaroo named Little Boy who can jump the fence and ain’t so little anymore (and likes being scratched behind the ears).
This place is a true little gem, surrounded by unreal views and wildlife. Rooms are comfortable, homey and very well kept. Amazing attention to detail was put to everything! John and Teressa are so lovely and know how to cook - breakfast was delicious! Will be back for sure!
Perched on top of the world, like an eagle in it's nest. What a stunning place to stay. Greeted every morning and then all day until sunset by gorgeous views that you could look at forever. John was our host and he was wonderful, gave us a great overview of the area and fantastic service. Anyone appreciative of architecture and beauty in older buildings will adore these cottages and if you've always wanted walls, probably 2 feet thick made of granite and aggregate from right on the spot you're standing then you're in luck.
