Phil and Linda Hopkins have been competing in world-class barbecue contests as Smokin’ Guns BBQ since 1997. They have competed in nearly 200 contests across 12 states. As members of the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) they are also certified barbecue judges. Had the shredded beef special, it was tender juicy and not over done. For the 1st time going was good but not great. However I will be going back as the waitress/ bartender was awesome and I wanna try some other menu items.
Not the worst bbq, a little depressing for being on Triple D and boasting holding 20 ribbons from BBQ contests
We stopped in today after finding this place on the Diners Driveins and Dives list. Husband had the Triple D (burnt ends, smoked turkey and brisket). Brisket was dry, ends were chewy but tasty, turkey was moist but not smokey. I had Ribs and Chicken (white meat). Ribs were the best of both of our meals. The chicken was pretty dry and skin was not crisp. We did our DDD for KC MO. Enough said.
