Every chance I get! My mother-in-law (from Germany) and I ate there several times during a recent visit to Alabama and thought it was great! Good-sized portions, large selection of sides, wonderful cobblers for dessert and the price was definitely right! My mother-in-law is still talking about getting a "senior citizen discount" - something unheard of in Germany!
Good BBQ Good BBQ at a good price. Fast service and good side items. Family packages offer plenty of food. Location is convenient and there is realy a long line. PROS: Good food and fast service CONS: Closes at 8:00 PM
Best bbq sauce ever! Smokey's is the best bbq place around AL. You have to get the white sauce and try it on whatever bbq you get.(pork, chicken, beef) They even have fish if you don't like bbq. We have never had a problem with the line at Smokey's. If you get there when they first open there is usually not many there.
