Smokey Joe's is a little bit of the south in the northeast Smokey Joe's has survived a decade in their little hideaway building on the border of Stamford and Darien. The food has always been decent but the restaurant was lacking in decor. I heard they have revamped the place. I had a big going away party there when I moved to California..that was 10 years ago. It must still be good or they wouldn't have lasted. If you are hankering for some ribs/chicken and want it quickly and want to get messy...this is your place.
GREAT BBQ.... BBQ was great!!! Brisket and ribs were excellent (it lived up to the hype)! Cornbread and collard greens completed the meal. Good beers on tap and wine menu for the wife. Service was super friendly, a plus!
Kinda disappointing! It was like eating in someone's basement. The food was no bargain pricewise and the surroundings seem to be no better than what you could find at the park for free.
melt in your mouth ribs Doesn't look like much but the ribs and pulled pork are amazing. The flavor is tremendous and the food just melts in your mouth. It is easy to get to and parking is sufficient. Prices are reasonable.
City Slicker BBQ Down south home cookin barbeque in Stamford. The corn bread is excellent. Highly recommend any of the pulled pork dishes along with a big soda. Service is good.
