Food is great but prices are expensive and the employees can be very moody. Location is great
I was really looking forward to trying smoke's poutine, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The prices for a traditional poutine were pretty steep, and the chicken poutine that my boyfriend didn't feel like a good value either. The ambiance wasn't great either - the place had a strong smell of old grease, which wasn't appetizing. Terrible poutine, the gravy was wet like water with no stickiness and the cheese curds were very dry.
No smile, no eye contact. Country Style did not have all of the ingredients. Very little gravy; cook seemed like she had never eaten a Poutine in her life. No forks were available, but cook disappeared for 5 minutes so quickly that I was unable to ask for one without yelling for her, which I don't like to do. Meanwhile, there is 17.4% unemployment among people of student age. SMH.
