My wife and I celebrated her 23rd birthday there and we had such an amazing time, our waitress Hailey was amazing and we got the best service we’ve ever had in Abilene! We had one of the best meals here during our stay at the Doubletree coming back to Houston from Taos in early Jan 2025. I had the Seared Snapper with a Honey-Thyme Gastrique over a Black Eyed Pea Cassoulet. It was delicious. All the food here was fantastic during our stay. A real gem in the heart of Abilene!
Had the smoked brisket and thought it was excellent with a good smokey flavor. The potatoes had a nice garlic flavor. The next day I went to the bar next door which uses the same kitchen and menu, and ordered a burger. I was less impressed with the burger compared to the brisket the day before. A lot of low reviews seem to be about service here... nonetheless, I will return!
