Gave this place a shot and was super excited when searching for a lunch spot as BBQ is one of my all time favorites. Menu is greatly over priced but was willing to give it a shot. When the food came out. My first thought was smoke BBQ, where is the smoke. The food had no smoke flavor and appeared to come straight from the microwave. Service was friendly and quick but the pulled pork and pulled chicken were both dry and lacking in flavor. It was difficult to get enough BBQ sauce on it to moisten it. Our purchase was at a tent at a pop-up dog park.
The service was great, the lunch special was not explained correctly, I'm thinking I get a sandwich a side, a soda....instead I had to pay for the side so basically there was no special. The Brisket sandwich was solid and the Scalloped potatoes were very good.
I had been wanting to try this place. I ended up accidently walking by it this afternoon on my way to somewhere else, so on my way back to my car, I decided to stop in and check it out. I went in and it was a basic kind of BBQ spot. Menu hanging on the wall and some tables. The place seemed cool and looked clean. If I wasn't in a rush to get somewhere, I would've eaten in. Over priced small pirtions. They pawned off a hacked up piece of chicken as a "half chicken." The brisket was fatty. They're obviously in the wrong business. I was hoping we would get good resturants in the neighborhood. Too bad for us.
