Truth in Advertising? NOPE! AVOID THIS PLACE! – Coupons for most California smog stations say something like "$25 plus certificate and electronic transfer." The coupon for Escondido Smog Center said $25 "OUT THE DOOR". It did NOT mention certificate or transfer fees. I gave the coupon to the technician before he started work. After completion, he charged me over $40. I pointed to the coupon and asked how they could get away with illegal advertising. He just shrugged his shoulders.
