Looking forward to stopping in at this new location! I got my chance to stop in the other day to try Smitty's new location. I ordered the chopped brisket and burnt ends (also brisket). Both were good, I think I prefer brisket sliced instead of chopped. So I'll get it that way next time. Also, the burnt ends.... they need to be a bit more... umm...burnt lol They tasted good, just not what I've had at other places. The sides I had were coleslaw and honey cornbread. Both were great! Brunt ends were aweful, brunt ends are made from the point end (also called the deckle) of a brisket. This cut comes from the pectoral muscle of the cow and is exceptionally tough because the cow uses it so frequently. It is also well-marbled with fat, so when the meat cooks low and slow over a wood fire those tight connective tissues break down and gelatinize as the fat melts and moisturizes the meat. Over half the meat I ordered was fat. Also, I expected for the burnt ends to be burnt ends not shredded meat. To top it off, there was hair In my food. Very disappointed but they did refund my meal.

The golden bbq sauce was some of the best I’ve had in a while. The wings were crispy, the brisket was delicious, and the service was fast and friendly.
