Well my wife passed away in 1/16/2021 and I guess I waited a few months before I took her jewelry to Smithville jewelry. He took advantage of my grief and he gave me basically nothing zero for my wife’s wedding ring which I paid down in Saint Martin’s $3600 and I had it be fitted for her when she got cancer at a very reputable jeweler for 250 bucks. So I wouldn’t give him a thumbs up approval very disgusted with their service.
I had a ring repaired and diamond replaced while I waited. The work was done very well and I was charged a very fair price.
Very Dishonest! Unfortunately most jewelry shoppers are inexperienced and these folks take advantage of that. I walked in to see about selling my very heavy gold chain that a I previously had appraised. The owner offered me $1025 when it was valued at $3500.00 The owner then came back with $2900 These people hide behind a cloak of a mom and pop operation. Make no mistake about it these people are dishonest
