My mom's phone is not working. It is the only form of contact we have with her. I was told that there is no maintenance on weekends to fix this problem! What happens if there is a water leak or some emergency?? Also, left a message for the nursing supervisor. Haven't received a call back. I want to know what precautions are being taken to protect my mom and all the other residents since they are taking in covid19 patients from hospitals. This was mandated from NYS. RecommendedIt is the best nursing Home on Long Island . My mother had the Best Care given by all the Nurses and Aids and Staff . I have recommended Smithtown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to all my friends for their Parents if ever they would need it . They go over and beyond there . ❤️
Like all such places they are understaffed. My dad fell in his room because he was unsupervised. This should not happen. If he is hospitalized again we will avoid "rehab" and stick with home care. Do not let your loved ones languish unattended/ warehoused in facilities without enough staff to supervise people properly!
