I've been going to Smithson Valley Counseling for about three months. The staff is amazingly professional, knowledgeable and FRIENDLY. My counselor is so qualified, easy to talk with, very helpful with my situation. The facilities are outstanding in every respect, clean, well maintained, and comfortable whether in the waiting room, counselors office, etc. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
When I was growing up, Sheila saw both my mother and younger sibling at at the same time in mostly separate sessions, and used what she learned in my sibling's sessions to enable my mother's manipulation. This conlict of interest and breach of confidentiality had an overall greatly negative impact on our family. I remember this place as traumatizing.
My therapist, Stacy, really helped me in a difficult time. As someone who has never had therapy, I recommend coming here. The conversations I had with Stacy truly helped me become a better person and recognize the power I have within.
I’ve had such a positive experience with Smithson Valley Counseling. Every session feels supportive and judgment-free, and I genuinely feel cared for and understood. They’ve helped me gain clarity and tools I use every day. Highly recommend!
Contacted Smithson Valley Counseling in June 2025. They didn’t have an opening so they asked me to call back later. I called back mid July. They were slammed due to the flooding. They said they would call me back. They never called me back. Today, Nov 13, 2025 I called and she said sure give me your information again because your information got shredded.
