Smithfield Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q is a clean, friendly, quaint “fast food” option for delicious Southern BBQ and fried chicken with side dishes that taste remarkably homemade. The potato salad and coleslaw are my favorite sides (and of course their hush puppies are amazing, and they even serve banana pudding!!). I was in town for work, staying at a local hotel and stumbled upon this place for the first time. When I walked in, I noticed the welcoming atmosphere and the numerous people. This indicated this was a popular place. There were many people in line, but it moved quickly. As I got to the counter I mentioned this was my first time at Smithfield's.
