Congratulations, a wonderful statue, her ancestors would be very proud of her. More people will now be able to see her and ask questions about her to discover more of our states earlier history.
Brilliant work done by Charlie and Joan Smith all over Perth and WA for decades. Australia was so lucky to have these talented people make their homes here where the have contributed so much to our understanding of our own history though sculpture and art. They are both National Treasures. ♥️
What an awesome family business Genuine people and all class works
I have spent time at Joan and Charlie’s foundry and workshop. The story of their decades of artistic endeavour is quite extraordinary and deserves to be better known. The video of how they created the Swan fountain should be widely viewed. An extraordinary achievement in engineering as well as art. Their works across Australia should be regarded as national treasures and so should they !!
