Great Pre-Show Bite to Eat – I'm always stopping at Smith's before a Broadway show. The waitresses are very friendly, they make sure to get me to the theatre on time and the food is great. The menu is simple stuff that just tastes good. They have tons of beers on tap that change all the time. Right now they have Magic Hat and Brooklyn Brewery summer beers, both are delicious. When the weather's nice they open up the front windows and you can enjoy your Summer Ale and burger will people watching, awesome!
Midtowns Best Bar – Came into smiths on a very nice day in nyc with some of my girlfriends looking for some cheap drinks and appetizers before we went to the movies to see back up plan with jlo. Loved the atmosphere and the service. The food was great except the fact that I was really craving mozzerella sticks. But there other appetizers were just as satisfying especially the fries I think they are the best in midtown. Had a great experience and would go back.
Can't Believe the Change! – Despite my protests I was dragged into Smith's after a show last Friday night...I had been in once before and it was a pretty divey, dirty old man joint and I didn't feel like navigating that kind of crowd. Very Relaxed Atmosphere for a Bustling City – Went in during the Yankees game and got 3.50 local Brooklyn Brew draughts. Great food prices, the burgers are awesome and the onions rings were some of the best I've had. The music was great and the bartenders were very chill and relaxed. Great place to go and watch the game. One of my new hot spots for sports.
Horrible service and threatening staff!!! SIMPLY AMAZING FOR ALL OF THE WRONG REASONS!!! – This bar started out fine. While our server was slow and the beer selection was limited we were having an OK time and glad to be out of the cold. Great for Live Music or just to hang out. – It seems like whenever my friends and i are in NYC we seem to end up at Smith's at some point or another. The drinks are not expensive for a NYC bar, and if your looking for a quick bite, the food is pretty good. I recommand the HELL'S HOT WINGS great bar food. The staff on a whole i would rate a B+. This is my story and I'm sticking with it... – I've been a lot of places and I dine out all the time so I consider myself a some what of an expert on nightlife experience...I will travel many miles for a place I like..( Like Four Street in Portland Maine..the absolute best food I have ever eaten.
