Awesome kayak experience for those who aren’t as much about a tour guided experience. The owner (Carl) is a CB biologist and is passionate about the wildlife in the area, he’ll set you up! Great prices too!

So. Much. Fun!! We did the lower river route. Carl had all of the gear we would need. He took us to view points so we would be able to see where we were going, and had a map plus photos to help guide us on good stopping points. We saw otters, harbor seals, bald eagles, pelicans, ospreys, and a coyote! Easy kayak route, beginner friendly!

Carl is the definition of top-tier customer service and professionalism. From the moment we arrived, he had everything ready for a seamless kayaking adventure. Before we hit the water, Carl gave us a detailed map and explained the entire route clearly and patiently. His guidance made us feel confident and excited. One of the most convenient p... read more

My family has been renting Kayaks from Carl every summer for the last 5 years. He’s incredibly accommodating, kind and thorough. We’ve done different parts of the Smith and always enjoy it. We love being able to take our time to stop and explore along the way and appreciate Carl’s flexibility.

We booked three days in advance. On day two we confirmed our booking. We showed up at the HQ at the time he designated on day three, and he was nowhere to be found. After a few texts and phone calls, he said he'd be 20 minutes late. 30 minutes after our designated meeting time, he shows up, and another client shows up with him. He wants us to choose the same paddle destination so he has less travel. He does the ol' bait and switch, and basically tells me that I need to cancel my plans to paddle a river in higher elevation an... read more
