I am new to Oregon as of last year and met Gina, the Family Service Advisor for Smith, Lund, Mills through a professional networking event. I found Gina to be very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to pre-planning my funeral as well as the laws that are in place when one dies in Oregon. Smith Lund Mills recently took my Dad into their care. From picking him up - to the service we had (last minute) at their facility, the care showed by employees during each step of this process was amazing. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Wendy was exceptionally understanding and guided me through the whole process after losing my father. I bawled in their office and she hugged me and kept handing me tissues. Very compassionate. When doing the viewing, I had my whole family and we were loud and probably took longer than we were supposed to, but they were so kind and let us mourne. Not pushy or cold about anything.
