Stay away. I got her name from a so called friend. After paying her up front for her services I found that nothing had been filed and nothing had been done. Now I'm at the point where I don't have the money to afford another lawyer and maybe be faced to go prosay. What she did is not right. She never answered the phone and it always took several days to weeks for her to return any messages. The least she could have done is hand her cases over to another lawyer who would have completed the cases and put out money to good use.
This "attorney" is ABSOLUTELY THE WORST!!!! I paid her $1700 in march of 2011 to file my divorce. In April 2012 I found out that not a damn thing had been filed. Heather claimed this was the first time it has happened. Clearly not. There are several clients who are out their money and stuck because this piece of crap screwed us. She will not return phone calls, and she won't do a thing on your behalf. She didn't even file child support for my two kids and I. Fox 4 news is investigating this. She did great for me and my family!!! I have used her a few times. She has always called me back. I am sure there are 2 sides to the story.
COMPLETE LACK OF INTEGRITY This lawyer will take your money, not return phone calls, and now her phone is disconnected. Think she's skipping town folks?
I paid Heather Smith $750.00 to file legal separation papers for me in August of 2011. My ex-wife and I composed the entire instrument ourselves asking her only to place it in legal form and file it. She assured us it would be done on two separate occasions and that we would be advised via US mail when the filing was complete. It is now Sept 11th 2011. I have not heard from her.
