I moved to Nanaimo from Vancouver in 2019. I saw Dr Smith shortly after and in the last 4 years he has replaced both my hips and both my knees. I can’t say enough about his excellent surgical skills, professionalism, kindness and wonderful bedside manner. I feel like the luckiest person alive to have had him as my surgeon. Dr Smith you have given me my life back!!! I am now walking 10,000 steps a day, hiking and can now dance again! I feel like a new person! I am so happy that I made the move to Nanaimo. Thank you Dr. Smith!
In January of 2026 I broke my ankle in two places. Dr Smith was very efficient with his time, competent and had a great beside manner. He gave great information, in a calm and patient manner. His support staff was also top notch both at the clinic and at the office when I would call to book an appointment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Smith with his great team!
I found Dr. C. Smith to be very Caring, Compassionate and totally Professional Surgeon. He spoke to me for approx. 10 minutes before the surgery and made me feel very confident, in him, regarding my hip replacement surgery! He has a very calming way, when speaking to me. I am so happy that it was him, that did my surgery!
Dr. Smith performed both of my hip replacement surgeries, which went exceedingly well. He is kind, compassionate, and the type of doctor one wants. He listens, explains things very well and was very supportive during both of my surgeries. I had a long wait for the second hip replacement, but his expertise was worth waiting for. Thank you Dr Smith.
Dr. Smith is a wonderful, professional surgeon who was very kind and communicative during my surgery and recovery. However his reception staff have a major attitude problem and are severely lacking in professionalism and compassion despite the fact they are working in a healthcare setting where people are in vulnerable positions.
