Do not hire this man. He will not fight for you. All he does is seek settlement he does not care about you're health and well-being. I posted a review on the other page he made a comment and then he shut off the comments so I couldn't rebut what he said. He is a liar. He did not care about my case all he cared about was how much money he could get even though I was still hurt. he never told me I could get a second opinion. Messersmith accuses me of writing bad reviews fun restaurants and hotels. Mister Smith you are a lawyer not a restaurant. You do run your business like one though no one can ever get ahold of you test your paralegal. You did not prepare me for any depositions. That is a lie. You met with me 5 minutes before the deposition was about to start. He won't fight for you Richard Smith was hired by me for a workers comp case. I told him I had photos of the accident site. I told him there was more to this case and just me falling. He did not care he said a slip and fall is a slip and fall. I met with him one time and agreed to go with him. We met with the insurance lawyers and he didn't even prepare me for the deposition or tell me what to expect. he spent 5 minutes before the deposition to tell me what they were going to talk about. that is the only time I seen him. RecommendedI absolutely recommend Mr. Smith. I've been to several attorneys seeking help on a case and no one really seemed to care. Richard actually reached out and invited me to meet with him and discuss my situation at his Spartanburg office rather than Greenville, which would have been a much farther drive for me. Extremely nice and was very professional at all times. Never made me feel as if I was being neglected whenever I called. Kept me informed. Any questions or concerns that I had was addressed in detail and not rushed. Richard is very helpful. He has a calm about him that makes you feel like he is truly listening to you. He even wrote a book- how many lawyers have taken the time to write a book about what you need to do. He wants to educate the community so if you need him- he is there for you!
