My grandma was being taken from Dover ER to Akron general. She was going for a small bowl issue. She has chronic Clostridium difficile "cdiff" so she has some pooping issues. The emts were pointing and laughing and making smelling gestures with their hands. How rude! They went to pull her onto the stretcher and dropped her between the cot and bed! Let me start with this. I respect paramedics and have a few friends who work in the field. However, after witnessing what could only be described as unsafe and inconsiderate driving by a Smith Ambulance I contacted them to let them know. I was treated with disrespect and no concern. Takeaway: these people don't care about safety or the goodwill of the community. Expect the same level of disrespect from me.
