I never thought I would need speech therapy, but when I started to experience fatigue and discomfort in my vocal cords and having a little trouble speaking after a long day at work, I decided to get checked out and was diagnosed with a moderate case of dysphonia. Lucky for me, I was referred to Nick at Maine health physical therapy. In just a few sessions we got my speaking voice back on track and I’m feeling much better and now have techniques to keep it from happening again!
We worked with SMHC/Maine Health's Speech Language Pathology, specifically Nicholas Viola, every week for the better part of a year to help our two year-old with his expressive communication delay.
