BEWARE!!! I had pre wiring from the builder of my home and opted in for the 1 year of a SST monitoring services (which is not free, the first year, it's $18 a month to pay for the parts, depending the equipment you have installed. I just had the keypad and a motion detector). All of their other equipment was ridiculously expensive! I wasn't satisfied within the first couple of months.
