Worst customer service. Branch hours are crazy. You can never get anyone on the phone. Automated system is not useful considering my Id number was wrong. Been in the Pearland branch twice and was told it was correct. Direct deposit goes in late, yet my employer submits it early. Online account balance has discrepancy all the time with zero pending transactions. Go into the branch and they can't explain nor print me out what they are looking at. I would not recommend them to anyone. Period.
Well, first of all i went to the Conroe location to to apply for a loan. I went though the whole process of applications and credit checks and signing documents. The lady "her name was Mary" said we'll give you a call after the company reviews my application. Never heard from them again, not even a phone call. By the way a have good credit! Smart Financial is very responsive and easy to work with. After moving from WI to TX I was hesistant to transfer my accounts from my CU in WI to one in TX but I am steadily transfering services and will soon be 100% Texan.
