I came in for a routine eye exam. I was offered an optional tear test which resulted in my exam being billed to my medical insurance instead of my vision insurance. They are now giving me the run around and saying they cannot bill my vision insurance because it’s a “medical diagnosis” resulting in me having to pay my medical deductible for these services. I have been going here for many years and ever since Dr Smart retired it has been terrible. Save your money and headache and go anywhere else. I am being charged for my annual eye exam because the doctor decided to bill it as a “medical” appointment because I have dry eyes, which Ive had for many years. Truly disappointing to know this place would rather charge you than your insurance and they are absolutely not up front about any of it.
