My initial experience with Smart Energy was excellent, smooth, efficient, and professional. But after my 5-year term ended, they contacted me about upgrading. I was considering more panels, but based on their assessment of my bills, they strongly recommended installing a battery instead, assuring me it would bring my power bills down to “effectively zero.” Fast forward almost 12 months since the battery installation, and my bills are the same, in some cases even higher than before. I worked for Smart Energy as a lead generator (door-knocking). They don’t pay their staff for the specific hours they work. At *least* one hour a day goes unpaid. I had to go back to them numerous times to get payment for travel and extra hours. Despite a couple of things that ended up being wrong in their estimate I would say that the overall experience with this would have deserved a 4 star re... read more

Its hard to know where to start however, our dealings with Smart Energy have been a litany of disasters. Important that we just share the facts: 1. Fact - June 2023 purchased 13.2kW solar battery system for approximately $24,000 2. Fact - We were sold on the investment based on Smart Energy sales people "savings" figures of between $63 per week and over $270 per week 3. Fact - the system had a complete and catastrophic failure, hardly producded any charge or discharge 4. Fact - Smart Energy were very specifically advised by ... read more
