We took our corgi, Porkchop, to Small Door Vet and had a great experience. Nurse Ashley was fantastic. She listened carefully to our worries about Porkchop’s anxiety with needles, and worked with us on our plan. We brought his donut, harness, and yogurt. She was patient, respectful, and didn’t rush us at all. We felt heard and supported. Really appreciative of that kind of care, and we’d happily see Nurse Ashley again ☺️
Small Door is a gem of a place with a staff that cares lots and is very attentive and thorough with care. They are reasonably priced for pet care and offer a membership that covers so many things that your loved one(s) need!
Dr. Gordon and Abby do such a wonderful job whenever I visit SmallDoor McLean. I love coming here with my pets for their shots and check ups! They are so personable and kind. They really do listen. Edit: Abby is genuinely the superstar of service at SmallDoor McLean. She really takes great care of my pets and makes sure I have my prescription up to date!
I really enjoyed our visit with Dr Gordon & Abby, LVT and so did my Tiger & Lily. Thank you for giving these cuties a chance to be loved.
There was virtually no waiting time during my visit. The office is clean, quiet, and located in a pleasant neighborhood. Overall, I came away with an even better impression than from two other offices of the same chain that I visited on the opposite side of the Potomac. The difference seems to come primarily from the staff's attitude—they were especially welcoming, attentive, and professional. At the same time, I found the quality of the services themselves to be consistently high across all three locations.
