Although my Tator never got to come home. Dr. Carerra & Kathryn (Hummel?), exhausted all outlets and I truly feel he was deeply cared for. They were so kind throughout this process. I will always appreciate them & the care Tator received.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had calling an emergency vet. The woman I spoke with (“Angie”) immediately started talking about pricing before even understanding what was wrong with my pet, then repeatedly tried to discourage me from coming in. She kept saying “they aren’t here” without explaining who “they” were, spoke so rapidly that I couldn’t get clear answers, and became dismissive when I asked questions. This is the best cat hospital I have ever been to in my life. My cat Norman was suddenly diagnosed with diabetes, and he had to be hospitalized for several days. The staff here went so above and beyond in every possible way, which not only made Norman’s stay 20,000 times better, but also my experience worrying about him 20,000 times better. Our beloved dog passed away at NC State Emergency on 4/25/26. He had started having seizures the previous fall, which we hoped was just idiopathic epilepsy, but in his last week of life he rapidly declined. Ultimately we couldn’t wait any longer and brought him to NC State on a Saturday morning. I called about 10 mins ahead of our arrival and they were able to quickly squeeze us in.
