Probably one of the biggest examples of nepotism I’ve ever worked for. The entire management crew are the owners children, Friends of the family, etc. Most of which cannot do their job to save their lives. But they will absolutely cut corners, Look the other way when people are injured, And tell you to hide things and lie to OSHA inspectors. Working at Smak Plastics as a supervisor came with a decent starting pay, which is about the only highlight. The daily reality on the job, however, is far from positive. First, the physical environment is brutal. The temperature inside the facility regularly exceeds 90°F throughout the year and can soar to well over 110°F in the summer.
