My PA was Mariah. Very nice lady. I was able to go over all the issues I have encountered with my mental illness. She is always inquisitive and supportive while seeking the truth of my experiences . She has prescribed me meds that are effective and continues to look for answers. The staff is kind and helpful. This has been my experience with SLU psychiatry.

Dr Forrest was a god send. However if you don’t get EVERY SINGLE THING YOU NEED while in office you’re not going to have an easy time trying to contact them or get anything fixed

The experience you have with this place is very dependent on which rotational person you get. The first person I was paired with was genuinely terrible to talk to. He told me I was a hypochondriac despite having access to my medical records which definitely say otherwise. His da... read more

NOTE: I suffered from an eating disorder in my teens and early 20s. As a result, I ask medical staff who need to get my weight for any medical appointment to allow me to stand backwards on scales so I can’t see the weight number. Multiple times, I asked for this at SLU Psych. Every time, they said they’d add this to my medical record notes. They never did, and for each appointment I had to repeat this information multiple times throughout. This is a wonderful way to reactivate an ED for someone with ED history. Any decent do... read more
