Slow Hands BBQ never disappoints. The food is always a 10/10. It’s honestly just expected at this point because they’re so consistent every time we come. You also can’t beat the all-you-can-drink soda, which is always a nice bonus. What really keeps us coming back though is the service. Thr ribs were fall off the bone. So good.
We went to this location yesterday after recommendation from East Bay Times. Marcus, the manager, was efficient and friendly. We ordered the smoked corned-beef Reuben that was beautiful and delicious. The only thing I have to mention is, it was extremely salty to our taste. We have had a few corned-beef Reuben in other places most of them are not this salty.
I read about Slow Hand BBQ from a recent SJ Mercury News article about 12 outstanding sandwiches and decided to stop by. I ordered the sandwich highlighted in the article - smoked corned beef reuben. It was definitely one of the best that I have had. My friends ordered the rib sandwich and baby back ribs. Both of them enjoyed their meal. You order at the counter and seat yourself. The pluses: the meat was good; The minuses: the sauces were bad; the baked beans tasted like something I never tasted before and not in a good way; the potato salad was not cold enough and too mustard forward; the coleslaw had all the right ingredients but it didn’t taste good as it was lacking a cohesive sauce to pull everything together
