Predatory door to door sales practices. Slomin's showed up at my house and assured my partner that nothing was being signed up for. They said that the document they provided was "just to look over the rates" and sure enough, my household was signed up for an oil delivery contract. Cancelling the contract has to be done via registered mail within three business days. Bad business practices, but good customer service (after a lengthy wait).
Literally the worst company I’ve ever dealt with..had a 9-6 window which is already pretty insane and they came to my house for a furnace cleaning at 10 pm with everyone asleep in the house. Please never use this company
Do not use Slomins oil! They are by far the worst oil company on Long Island. On two separate occasions I had nothing but problems with there service. Over the winter of 2022. My boiler stopped working and my house was getting cold. I called and was told to wait for thermostat to come on and that I should call back later when it does.And recently on July 11 th I called for a delivery of oili was told I would see a delivery with in 7 day's needless to say there hasn't been any delivery. Be careful when you move into a new home with an old system they will not mention they are singing you up for a long term contract they only mention the monthly charge. Not a single rep said it was a contract. Their service is garbage and they are purposely tricking people into agreements they would otherwise NEVER agree to. Scam company.
Feels like a moot point to leave a 1 star review given how many this company has already gotten. But here we go! Had new windows installed. Called to get a tech out to place the sensors back onto the new windows (literally taking a two sided tape and sticking the sensor on the window). I was told it would be $75 PER SENSOR (4 sensors = $300) for what is at most 10 mins worth of work ($300 for 10 mins is an hourly rate of $1,800...not even lawyers and some doctors make that much).
