I had steroid injections in both thumb joints and Dr Pomranky explained step by step what she was doing and what I would be feeling so I expected it to be uncomfortable. The pressure I was feeling in my thumb joint during the injection didn’t last long but was unpleasant. I am using arnica gel to help with pain from the injections and time will tell if the steroid will help my constant metacarpal pain. 07/30/23.
