Went to a murder mystery event Slixer put on for our company outing and it was a disaster. The actors looked like they didn't want to be there, kept fumbling lines, and one of them straight up told me they got hired off Facebook literally the day before with basically zero prep. I'm a bit surprised by the positive reviews...maybe we just had a fluke experience but it was poorly coordinated, actors didn't really know what they were doing and humor was corny and at times inappropriate. Everyone had a fabulous time. Their trope of actors, the Sam McGee room, and our chosen Elegant Cocktail theme fit wonderfully. The host, Kirsten was great, explained things well and ran a professional but fun show. The inspector was a hoot, he really set the tone for the evening. His comment about asking the "dead body" to scootch so it would be easier to move him, had everyone laughing right away. We had an absolutely fantastic experience with the Slixer team at our Beacon staff party! They hosted a murder mystery for more than 100 guests at a winery in Victoria, and the entire activity was engaging, well organized and incredibly entertaining. The actors were excellent, and the hilarious detective was definitely a highlight of the evening. The team kept such a large group involved and laughing throughout the event, which is no easy task.
