Word of warning - this company will give you the runaround. I purchased tickets to a public murder mystery event in February, via Eventbrite. The organizer cancelled on the day of the event, citing unforeseen circumstances. The organizer, Chris, said he would email details about a discount on another murder mystery event that would take place 2 weeks later. That email never arrived. We just had the most incredible time at our bachelorette party! It was absolutely unforgettable! Our host was fantastic, and every moment of the experience was pure joy. We loved every second of it!
We used Slixer for our teams in Edmonton, Vancouver, and Calgary. I personally attended the events in Vancouver and Edmonton, and it was an incredible experience. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the activities and challenges—it was fantastic for team building and a lot of fun all around. Thank you for making it such a memorable experience!
How this company has such great reviews is beyond me. I attended a 20's themed murder mystery at the Fairmont in Winnipeg on New Years Eve. Like the other poor reviews listed here, the acting, planning and delivery of the evening were embarrassing and painful to sit through. I have never experienced anything so uncomfortable that I willingly paid money to attend. I have reached out to Chris, the owner, on Jan 1, to express my detailed concerns. I recently attended a dinner theatre fundraiser for a community club near Winnipeg, and Slixer had been hired to produce and perform an interactive murder mystery for the evening's entertainment. The actors were ill-prepared, unrehearsed and the content of the mystery was nonsensical. In lieu of comedy, the actors relied on loud, obnoxious and repetitive outbursts.
