Once a novel idea ... and if you don't remember it there is the companies problem; a novel idea that did not stick. Honestly surprised these bikes are still being produced and the company is still around. It's not that their bicycles are not good or well made; they are in a general sense of the word. It's just that the idea behind the bike is very 'niche'd and if you are not really into bicycling you may never have heard of the company. In full disclosure I have not ridden any of their new models and the road bike that I did test in the 90's was just not remarkable. In fact, I found their then road bike to feel like the headtube was loose and just could not get over the twitchiness of it. If you want something that has 'wow' factor to it and you are willing to give it a try, by all means do your research and take a test ride. But given the companies past and all of the bikes that are out there that are far superior I probably would not race one even if it was free (road or mountain).
