I've had a number of donuts in my life and love long johns above all else, and these were among the best long johns I've ever had. The white fuzzy alone is worth the stop. Unique dough, good flavors without being overpowering. Would slam into my face again.
We love this place!! We were passing through on our way to California and stopped in. Over a year ago I happened to stop by and had their maple bacon long john. They sadly did not have any this time and happened to say so out loud, the owner immediately offered to make us some fresh. I had to fight the urge to buy every single one she was willing to make me!! Their maple glaze is more like the most deliciously balanced maple buttercream icing that you'll ever have. Try it, you'll thank me.
I grew up in this town and went to sleep pretty often. I was super sad to hear they closed down. When I heard someone bought them and the recipe I drove the 4 hours with some friends to get them the best donut ever. Needless to say this is not sleeps I was super disappointed when I got my donut and it tasted like daylight donut for double the price
Our family loves Sleep's Bakery! They have made the atmosphere super cute and fun, and they are the sweetest people. When I bring in my 3 littles they are always so kind and helpful! They also always have extra fun treats besides their delicious donuts that my kids just love. It is always a treat!
