I did the overnight sleep study to see if I have Apnea or not. Overall it was a very good experience. I had good communication prior to my appt. and was given clear written and verbal information regarding instructions for the day of as well as what to bring etc. They also gave me clear instructions regarding parking and where to enter the building. Met with the sleep Center technicians. They told me that potential therapies for sleep apnea is the CPAP unit and the drug called Zepbound. I tried the CPAP unit and there was no way I could use it and sleep comfortably. Was not an option. When I told them I wanted to to try zepbound and asked if they can write a prescription they said they could not. Giving 1 star, because there is no option for 0 star. I called a couple of weeks ago because I had not had a study since 2020 and when the supplier of equipment changed I just got one mailing. Since it was a long time since I had my study, I figured maybe I should call the sleep center to be reevaluated. As it turns out, my last study was done in 2020. The worst! Messed up at every step of the way, beginning with a tech who yelled out my full name in hospital lobby, then referring me to an out of network CPAP vendor (after waiting a month for preauthorization), then cancelling the authorization so I'd have to wait another month, then sending my info to a vendor in New Jersey... Unimaginable incompetence.
DO NOT GO HERE!! Absolute mind-blowing malpractice... After telling the doctor I could not get more then 1-2 hours of sleep at all on any given day... She said I need to sleep more to do another sleep study .. the first sleep study they gave me without my supplemental o2 which I take for 2 fatal diseases .. and she said to take another sleep study to get my asv therapy machine back which I was previously using before being displaced into CT; I need to get more sleep to take an at home test.
