The cleanliness was impeccable for what we were expecting. Last time we stayed at a Sleep Inn, there were a lot of issues. We decided to give this one a chance based on the reviews. The location is perfectly positioned around numerous restaurants and shopping. The staff took pride in how clean the rooms and the amenities were. I come to walterboro often because I have family here. I use to stay at this hotel for weeks at a time they’ve gotten thousands of dollars of my money. This time around I only brought so much with me and I paid for two rooms and got the third one using my 15,000 choice points. All 15,000 of those points were earned staying in this particular establishment. That’s a lot of money spent to earn that many points. Upon calling for my reservation the front desk was rude. We have stayed at a couple of Sleep Inn hotels and been very happy. Sleep Inn Richmond Richmond North, Sleep Inn & Suites Smithfield I-95 are excellent. However we slept at the Sleep Inn Walterboro last night for our split trip back home and it was not a good experience. Our room 109 had this horrendous smell coming from the AC vent. It smelled like dried sweats and onion and the smell did not go away. It overpowered the entire room.
