I wasn't going to leave a negative review but after being charged $100 for a supposedly broken curtain it came to this. We stayed 2 nights with 2 separate rooms being booked. Hotel is very dated, smelled of mold and mildew and pool/spa area wasn't very clean. I take my kids swimming a lot in hotels and can always smell pool chemicals and in my mind let's me know they are properly taking care of the water. Hotel smells of smoke and mold/mildew. Only place in town, had some renovations going on that wasn’t mentioned until we checked in.
We found the Sleep Inn in Bolivar to be an unexpected gem! The property is currently in renovation, but the work is done during the daylight hours so sleep and rest are undisturbed. The rooms are the cleanest I have ever encountered from any hotel. The staff is super friendly and always smiling. Water pressure is fantastic, and the hot water never ran out. Towels are fluffy and bright white regardless of size or day of the week. We will definitely be returning in the future!
